Demic Digital ("we," "us") operates demicdigital.com. This policy explains what information this site collects, how it's used, and the third-party tools involved. We don't sell your information, and we collect the minimum needed to run this site and respond to inquiries.
If you book a call or email us, we receive whatever you provide — typically your name, email address, and anything you write in the message. We use this only to respond to you and, if you become a client, to deliver the services we agree on.
This site runs the Meta Pixel. As of 25 September 2026 we load Meta's tracking pixel (dataset ID 2033469717276701) on our home page and on the free site-check page. It records that a page was viewed and passes that to Meta along with standard information your browser sends — your IP address, browser type, and the page you were on. Meta may match that against a Facebook or Instagram account if you have one, which is how we would be able to show you an ad later. We do not currently run Meta's Conversions API on this site.
This site also runs Google Analytics 4 (property G-YYQM5GJ07D), added 27 September 2026. It records which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and whether the free site check gets used — so we can tell whether this website is doing anything useful. It is set up for our own reporting, not for advertising, and we do not use it to build ad audiences. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy; you can opt out of Analytics entirely with Google's own browser add-on.
Why we're telling you this so plainly: this page previously said we ran no tracking at all, and promised to update before that changed. This is that update, published in the same release as the pixel itself. We sell measurement to other businesses; running it on our own site without saying so would be the exact thing we tell clients not to do.
Standard connection data (like your IP address and browser type) is also processed by Cloudflare, our hosting provider, simply to serve you the page securely.
If you'd rather not be tracked here: use your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker — both stop the pixel loading. You can also control ad personalisation in your Meta ad preferences. Nothing on this site requires the pixel to work.
If you use the free checker at /check.html, running a check stores nothing. Each check runs live, the report is generated in your browser, and neither the URL nor the report is saved on our end afterward. Your IP address is used only transiently, for a few seconds, to prevent abuse (limiting how many checks one connection can run per minute) — it isn't logged or retained. The tool loads the site you submit in a real browser to check it, the same way any search engine crawler or link-preview tool would.
If you then ask us for the full written review, that is different, and this is the exact point where we start keeping something. Added 27 September 2026. When you enter your email address to request the review, we store only two things: your email address, and the URL you had just checked — the second one purely so the review can be written about your actual business instead of generically. Nothing else from the check is kept. That information goes to Klaviyo, the email tool we use, and it also subscribes you to our email list (see below). Entering your email is entirely optional and the checker works fully without it.
What being on that list means: you get the written review, and occasional emails from us about local marketing. Every one has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing does not stop us sending the review you asked for. You can also email hello@demicdigital.com and ask us to delete your address entirely, which we'll do.
